Almost there
I met with Dr Patterson this morning and all is great for setting a date. Now I am in the waiting pattern (2-3 weeks) for insurance approval. This waiting thing is super hard...I know it gives me more time to loose more, have a smaller liver and get stuff in order for the big day, but I cannot help but be a bit pensive about getting an approval from BCBSIL. I have heard horror stories. It is hard to be objective when I feel so ready to make this change. There is no way to get around the wait...Dr P. told me to wait 3 weeks before I call to see whats up...has anyone heard earlier than the standard 2-3 weeks? P-E-A-C-E....right? Inner peace!!!! Breathe!!!!!! LOL

It took me several weeks to get my approval because the girl who does their insurance stuff really dropped the ball on mine. First we had that big snowstorm in December so their office was closed for several days and then she told me she had been told there were some documents the insurance needed that weren't faxed over with the original approval request. She told me that she had sent everything over but then another time I talked to her a couple weeks later she told me that she hadn't sent them yet so she basically admitted she had lied to me the first time just to pacify me. Once she got on the phone with my insurance they approved me right over the phone and then immediately sent the approval letter. I hope she gets right on your approval and does it right the first time so you can get your date scheduled. Are you going to have the surgery at Good Sam?
