Long time no check in

Hey Gang so sorry its been so long since I have checked in. Things are pretty good life is busy as usual, Jen is going in for another brain surgery next month my grandaughter has stolen my heart she is 5 months now and amazing, weight loss has pretty much come to a halt for well over a year now, I am not at goal but not that bad, I really want to loose 20 lbs this summer started doing the Medifast diet , was pretty easy to do but just not putting much effort in it latley,

so how is the old gang? anyone getting togather latley? would love to see you all.  have so many wonderful pictures I would love to share with you all all, do any of you do facebook?

 Hi Kelly.  Glad to hear that you're doing well.  Things have been very, very quiet around here lately.  Nothing like back in 2007 when we were all getting our surgeries done.  I don't know if it's that not many people know about this site, not that many people are getting weight loss surgery anymore, everyone who had surgery is doing so well they don't need to think of it anymore, or whatever.  I know I would still like to lose another 25-30 pounds.  Sometimes I see the scale creeping up and panic.  Generally a review of what I'm eating will reveal too many crackers with my cheese, too much cereal instead of a grilled hamburger.  So, I change my behavior and lose the few pounds that creep on.  I need to be more active to get the rest of this weight off, but the Oregon summer of 100 degrees plus is really putting a damper on that!    Waiting for some thunderstorms here and hoping they don't touch off any forest fires!

I had my surgery nearly 15 months ago and am doing very well.

We haven't had any get-togethers since I was pre-op, that I know of.  I started a new job in July 2009 and work Saturdays.  Therefore, the only way I can get to one on any Saturday is if it is scheduled for later in the afternoon.

I don't do Facebook at all and don't intend to do so.

I don't have my updated pic on my avatar because I don't own a digital cam.  Plus, my cell phone does not have a cam.  My cell phone contract has another 4 months to go before I can purchase one with a cam.

I can't believe you are on here, because it has been even longer since I have checked in.  Life just gets so crazy!  I am happy with where I am as far as my surgery.  I never lost the bit I gained about a hear and a half ago, but I halted it from going any further.  My thyroid was low, I'm in some sort of menopausal purgatory, and I'm pushing fifty.  Approaching five years and maintaining 85% of my 176 loss is SUCCESS in my book.  I still feel it guiding not my choices so much as my ability to overindulge. 

I do facebook!  Well I got on to share pictures, so unlike my kids who have hundreds of friends, I have about 10!  I know I log on with my old E-mail of [email protected] but my last name is Cassady.  Come be my friend!  I've got lots of pictures from this summer.  Anyone else out there your welcome too.  If I might not recognize your name just add WLS so I'll know it's you.

I can't stand that Jen is facing another surgery.  I want to know where she is on her health issues.  I feel so bad!!
