My husband and I both had bypass last fall.  We ahve since moved out the area to a small town.  We don't have access to nutritionists at owls and have questions about foods we should be eating etc.  We have each lost over 100lbs but feel we are losing too slowly.  Any advice?

Hi!  I am not an expert at eating (or I wouldn't be overweight, right? LOL)...but I really find YouTube videos helpful with this and other WLS issues.  I don't know if you ever watch them, but screen names such as DivaTaunia, Workingonfreedom, Youwantgeek, Winelover215, and katiejuly have lots of good advice and meal/food ideas that are full of protein.  I am pre-op right now and just love watching these videos to kind of get a feeling of the whole experience.
I know Workingonfreedom just did several small videos about high protein snacks she has found and Winelover215 is really into cooking, as is katiejuly.  So...it's worth a try.  Also, Youwantgeek had a video a few days back related to a weight loss stall and going back to basics with liquids and increasing protein to get out of that stall.

Good luck and I hope you find the videos as entertaining and useful as I do!!

Hey Bopperb!  If you go to the RNY forum here at OH, there is a page that tells you what you should be eating at what stage.  Let me see if I can find it and post the link here.  Yep - here it is:

www.obesityhelp.com/forums/rny/nutritional-guidelines-after- roux-en-y-gastric-bypass-surgery.html

Hope that helps.
