No support group meeting on New Years

We will not have a support group meeting in McMinnville on New years day, but rather we are intending to hold it on the 8th.  I may not be able to attend however as I am having surgery on the 6th.  If not the group will still meet !!

The surgery is to correct the 3 seromas that developed after the 11 hour surgery I had last summer. One is like a goose egg on my inner thigh and I can drain 43cc's of fluid off of it per day if I wanted to drain it daily.

Now I won't be having surgery on the 6th.  Turns out that my former work place is changing insurance starting today so everything is undone!  Must wait for insurance approval from new insurance--if they give it.

Well, I was glad to hear that they were going to do something about your seromas, but now that you have to wait - well, that is definitely a bummer. Did they change insurance companies or go with a different plan with the same company? Since you have had this was awhile, I am sure they will not have a problem with it.

No, they changed insurance companies because Providence went up 38%.  BUT the new company has a higher deductable, and a higher co pay with less coverage and it will still be $40 more per mo!!!

I do think they will cover the seromas however.  It will at least take care of my deductable for the year!

I am currently trying to get over a cold, but it isn't serious.....just anoying!
