Oregon Coast: Newport, Waldport, Seal Rock anyone??????

My Surg. date is 1/5/09 and Eugene is getting to far for me to drive for important (to me) support
meetings. I feel alone here on the coast and quite concerned about going under the knife. anyone out there on the coast who could help me??THX

I don't know the southern coast very well.  But there is a Dr. in Coos Bay that I know has a support group.  If that is something you want to look into let me know and I will try to get some info for you.

I live in Newport.  I feel alone here too.  My husband also had wls.  I know of another person who lives  here that has had wls too.  All three of us had surgery by Dr. Read in Corvallils.  They have a support group there but I find it's hard to get there. 

Where are  you on the coast?

My surgeon is Dr. Tersigni in Coos Bay. I've never been to his support group meetings, but I do believe he has them. Don't have any info on them, but his office number is 541-267-5151 EXT.1. His office staff is really great, so give them a call.
