Back surgery - anyone know Dr. Robert Hart in PTLD?

Folks - many of you know that I have a severe problem in the bottom three discs of my back.  I haven't been able to find a surgeon to help me in Eugene -- they all say that there is nothing they can do for me and they only recommend a spinal cord stimulator.  I'm just not ready to be old and crippled up yet  -- especially after having undergone gastric bypass to get myself in shape!!  So, I saw Dr. Robert Hart at OHSU yesterday.  He is in their Spine Center.  He has given me hope for a fusion.  I need to have an MRI of my whole spine so he can be sure it will be okay, but he thinks he can do it.  Do any of you know of anyone who has had back surgery with Dr. Hart?  He seemed very nice, competent, and really listened to what I had to say.  I'm hoping this will be my ticket to better movement!

I can't tell you anything about him, but I'm so glad for you that you found someone to help. I can't imagine how frustrating this has been for you. Best wishes on the MRI.

I'm sorry I can't tell you anthing about this Dr.  I want you to know however, that you have been a great inspiration to me the last year and I will be praying for you.
