Problems with Painful Gas in Stomach

I just recently had Lap-Band surgery on Wednesday - 08/27/2008. I have since lost five pounds which I am estatic about but I have been having some really bad gas problems in my system.

Is there a way to tell if the gas s coming from GERD (which I have) or is it from the gas used during surgery?

I get real bloated even though I have not eaten anything solid for the last five days.

Any answers or suggestions?

I'm not sure how you can tell where the gas is coming from, but you might want to try the Gas-X strips - they're kind of like the Lysterine strips that melt in your mouth.  That way you don't have to worry about swallowing the pills.
