2 year check up and what's going on at Legacy Obesity Clinic?
I just had my 2 year check up and when I went back to the clinic it was such a cluster and the staff were rude. I know the lady at the front desk isn't the same as when I went there before and the experience was just annoying.
I travel from I daho to Portland for my check ups so I always call and confirm my appointments before I leave to come over. My appointments were on the 4th and I called on July 30th to confirm that I was set up for an appointment with the nurse practitioner and dietician. When I went to check in I was then scheduled for an appointment with the physical therapist and the dietician. So anyways the PT called me back I told her I didn't need to see her and I should only have an appointment with the NP and Dietician. So she checked and said I don't have an appointment with the NP and could I come back another day. Of course I said no cause I had to leave for home that day. So I was sent back to the waiting room waited 30 minutes then was called back with the dietician. I talked with her and then was placed back into the waiting room and was told that if I could wait an hour or so the NP would see me. So of course I waited cause I wanted to see her. Anyways a 30 - 40 minute visit turned into over 2 hours and still neither one of then could answer my question of how come I am eating right but when I exercise I am gaining weight (not muscle as most people think).
So when I am done with the NP I go to the front desk and tell the lady there that I need to pay my co-pay amount. She said well how much is it? I said well it's 15% of the bill and she said we don't collect percentages. Now when the heck did this happen? The last time I was there the lady at the front was really nice and she had already figured out my amount and I didn't even have to ask. I then asked the lady how much was the bill going to be and she acted like it was a hassle for her to pick up a calculator, add two amounts, and take 15% of that.
I just felt that the staff were rude and service within the office has just dropped off. Has anyone else experienced this? Or is it just me being short tempered?

Gosh, that is sad. I was there in March, for my check up and I didn't experience anything unusual. Only thing that happened to me was the dietician had called in sick that morining, and they had tried to call me to let me know. I had left out way before they had even opened as I travelled from Eugene. I arrived, and instead of speaking to the dietician, I spoke with the nurse practioner. I was fine with that. It definitely saved me from the extra trip. I was pleased that they had figured out a doable solution. Worked for me.
Now, Dr. P or one of her staff is coming to Springfield once a month, which is fantastic. Saves me the hassle of missing a day of work, the expense of gas let alone the 4 hour round trip.
Again, I have been pleased a*****h with the entire staff.....I try to remember each of the gals names and am very friendly towards them. I have never had any bad expeiences other than when I had my surgery, but that is another story.

I have always had a good experience when I have gone and seen my surgeon Dr. Jan and everyone in that office has been great.
The problem I had was with the office next door. I couldn't get an appointment with the surgeon when I called and scheduled back 2 months ago but they said I could see Christy the NP next door so that's what I did. It was such a hassle now I wish I would of just waited for an appointment with one of the surgeons.

I am new to OWLS but my experience there has been great with the exception of one person, Natalie. She is rude when answering the phone, checking you in/out. I cannot beleive they keep her on. I work for a doctor's office and I would never in a million years even think about treating people the way she does. I dont know if that is who you are talking about but I am pretty sure it is. I have been a pt since may and never fails everytime she is terrible
