OPB radio broadcast

Thursday morning from 9 to 9:30am OPB AM & FM as well as 1600 AM Eugene will be broadcasting a special on obesity. I think the segment name is talk out loud.

Hey Linda...I've been asked to be on the broadcast and speak about my experiences as an obese person.  Haven't quite decided if I'm going to do it yet.  Have to call them first thing tomorrow and let them know.....

They asked me too but I'm still not driving so I declined. Also after talking with Julie I felt she was condecending to our situation. Maybe I miss read her but just the same. I will be listening though.

Darn, I meant to listen, then had a really busy day at work and had no time. How did it go? I'm going to check out the OPB website and see if I can download the show.

I listened to part of this, but had to turn it off.  Just a lot of talk about whether it was offensive to be called 'fat' or 'obese', whether or not people of size are discriminated against, etc.  Very little info about WLS or improving one's health.  I was disappointed.  Of course, as I said, I turned it off after about 15 mintues.
