New Date!

 I went in for my preop appointment yesterday and have yet another new date.  I was scheduled for August 14 but now Dr. Wolf has to be out of the state on that day so I have been moved to  August 22.  I was hoping to get one camping trip in this summer but that weekend or the one after were the only two I had available-Now I think I will be recovering...But  I will have it done! finally.  I just had a look at some of my old blog entries and I cant believe it but it has been 1 year and 1 month since I scheduled my seminars to look into lapband.  What a long journey!  

I had my surgery August 22, 2006.  It took forever to get from orientation to the surgery,( 18 months)  I have Kaiser.Congrats on your up-coming journey.  It is well worth the ride!!  I am down 299 lbs since my RNY.

 Thanks for the good thoughts Peggy-There have been months where I was totally frustrated at  the snails pace that thing moved along but I keep reminding myself that this is for the long haul and I wil get there eventually!

Congratulations Tina!  I hope they don't change the date again!!  I hope you'll get to go camping for a weekend before surgery.  Summer without at least one camping trip is just not right.

That's very cool!  I am closing escrow on my new house the 15th so I am wishing the next two weeks would fly too. 

I haven't camped in so long that all my camping stuff is scattered about our household or buried so far in the garage that the thought of getting it all together is enough for me to go nahhh!  I got to the point with three kids that it seemed like so much work (cause it was!!).  I know the kids loved it though!  I went to Yosemite this summer and it made me long for a camping trip again.
