Obesity question from OPB

Hello,

My name is Scott Silver, and I'm writing from Think Out Loud, Oregon Public Broadcasting's daily talk show.

For an upcoming show, we're going to be talking about obesity in Oregon - specifically on the physical, social and emotional impact that it has on people who are obese.  The conversation will not be focused on broad generalizations or theories, but instead will look at the lives and experiences of individuals who are obese.

I'm trying to connect directly with people who are obese or have been obese, to ask them about their experiences, and I wanted to see if anyone involved with the Obesity Help - Oregon forum would be interested in sharing their experiences with us.

We've created an online space where people can share their experiences and stories with us:

    http://news.opb.org/link/obesity

We'll be using the responses to help guide our coverage of this issue, and a producer may send them a follow up email or give them a call.  As well, people *****spond will become a part of OPB's [ www.opb.org/publicinsight ]Public Insight Network, our network of news sources.  We will hang on to their contact information, and ask them to contribute their experiences periodically for news stories we're working on.

Thanks for your help, and please give me a call if you have any questions or concerns.  I'd be happy to address them.
