MULTNOMAH FALLS......

Yep I went there yesterday and climb it halfway. Then the kids were done! But I would have never even done that a year ago! I have never even  tried to climb it my whole life. I am so excited for myself. The kids even asked if we can do it again!

Congrats!!!  Its those WOW moments that we all live for.  I predict there will be so many many more to come for you in the days ahead.  Life is an adventure to be experienced daily with gusto!!  Go for it!!!

I went about a month and a half after my surgery and I couldn't make it that far past the bridge because I was in pain near my port. My goal is to go to the top which I have never been able to do in my life. Your post just reminded me how much I would like to do that and also how tough that hike is! I think it's wonderful that you made it as far as you did and I'm sure you'll make your goal! Good luck! Becky

That's a great victory.  It'll surely only get better!  Next year you'll be running to the top!

I remember when I used to hike up to the top of the falls some 30 years ago before I started putting on weight.  I also used to hike some 10 miles from Larch Mountain to the falls as well as other trails in the gorge.  I am looking forward to hiking in the gorge again next summer!  Hopefully gas prices will go down to more manageable levels by then!

That's wonderful!  Doing healthy things can end up being fun when doing it doesn't make you physically miserable.  The best part of all is being able to enjoy and provide a fun day for your kids!

Thats awesome! I should make the trip to go there and climb to the top. Its my favorite waterfall in Oregon. I made it up to the bridge once but not the top. Its definately going to be on my "to do list". Congrats on your climb.
