LAST ROUND OF PS

The 3rd and final round of reconstructive PS is scheduled for this coming Tuesday.  It will be the roughest one yet since it is also the final one.  I had my preop on Wednesday and we went over things one more time.  I was poked, proded, drawn on and stood naked in front of 3 people as they pulled on my skin.  Such a lovely process LOL. Here is what is scheduled... Revisions: Brachioplasty.  Lower 2/3 of the arm scars around the elbows need revision and a bit of lipo Auxilla:  She is going to open up the existing scar line and extend it back to the shoulder blade, lipo the flanks and pull up. Upper stomach:  Lipo the "muffin top" and pull in to vertical scar creating a () football type tightening Mons:  open existing scar line and pull up again along the bikini line NEW:  MTL the dreaded Medial thigh lift.  She had previously lipo'd the thighs.  Now the skin hangs between my legs.  She will remove approx 7-8 lbs from the two legs and bring the skin taunt. All total there will be in excess of 6 ft of suture line. *smiles* Yep, I'm a goin' to hurt for sure! Please keep me in your prayers for no events to occur (no seromas, wound seperation, infections, etc....).  Surgery hours are about 9. Trisha

Holy Tamole!!  I wish you the best of results!  Sounds like your doc is going all out to really finish things good.  You are a brave girl to know all that and show up on Tuesday!  I haven't seen you in a long time and haven't even got to see the previous results.  You'll be the babe on the bike (haven't you been riding on those things lately?!?) I don't even recognize.

Thank you for sharing.  Each step has added to the original miracle that losing all that weight feels like.  I remember how happy the first change made you - it is pretty wonderful.  How long is the recovery if all goes as planned?  Please get on here and holler if you need anything at any point.  I know the way to McMinville!

Hey, Tee called me yesterday.  She is doing SOOO much better.  She and G are headed on vacation for a week, but when she gets back AND I'm to the point of driving and sitting up without drool coming out of my mouth we will do lunch w/ Joy, ok?

We talked about how we hadn't seen or heard from you in FOREVER!!!!  We need to catch up, find out what is going on in the lives, etc....

This one is a tough one, Patty.  I'm thinking total recovery will be 6-8 weeks.  About 6.5-7 ft of suture line!

Hey Trisha!  I'll be thinking of you.  I hope it's not nearly as painful as you expect.

Thanks Linda!  I hope not either, but I remember the last round and it was.....an experience.  Instead of lipo on the thighs this time it is surgery.  Should be fun....uh huh.  But I'm looking at the outcome!

Thanks Julia.  I'm too busy right now to be nervous.  I'm like a sheep to slaughter....or maybe I just trust that the "Big Man" has everything under control!

Prayers are gladly accepted!

I hope everything goes perfect for you.
I will be very interested in your thigh progress.
Mine are the worst thing on me by far, but I am a big chicken about doing anything about it.
I wish you the best!

I had an extremely extensive 11 hour surgery on the 15th.  She went beyond the scope of what she had agreed to do.  I had a complication that was life threatening, but turned out ok (I'm going to post about it in just a bit).  The thighs are coming along nicely, but I must say they pull and tug as they swell.  I still have drains in at the knees, but the drain at the groin has been removed today.  Over all I'm doing well and better every day, but this WILL be a long recovery.  I walk slowly and with care and have a minor wound seperation at the T connection on the left inner thigh, but we can see new skin regenerating as well.

Please know I'll answer any of your questions.
