I am so ecstatic today - my surgery date is August 6th and I couldn't be happier.

I've been methodically doing everything and thinking the waiting is going to be the death of me, when - pow! I have a date. I feel like I am a school girl again - the anticipation is so great. But, a little scared, too. I have never had surgery before. So like the first time we do anything new, you have that nervous feeling, too.

I can tell everyone who has been a part of OH, and especially the Oregon forum, that you guys have been just wonderful. Reading everyone's stories and their experiences have helped me thru my own. Thanks so much!!!!!

Yippee skippy! As your official angel I'll let everyone know how you are doing after surgery and be your support person when you have questions or need to *****complain/grumble/are scared/lonely/etc.  LOL Vicki, I've made some of the closest friends here.  I'm looking forward to getting to know you and am excited for the prospects of good health and happiness for you personally! Trisha,

I am so lucky to have you for my angel. You have been so encouraging and positive that I can't help but say, "Bring it on". I am ready for that surgery.

Everyone on the Oregon OH Forum have been a wonderful resource for WLS and I am so glad I found it.

Thanks Trisha,

Vicki, Congratulations. I am waiting, not patiently!, for insurance approval and my date. Save me a spot on the looser's bench. Linda

Linda,
Thanks so much and I will definitely have a spot for you on that bench. I also know about waiting not so patiently. I was so ready months back, but still had to wait for those pesky appointments and then the feedback. It's enough for a girl to pull her hair out.

Please keep me informed about your date.
Thanks again,
Vicki

Congratulations!  I remember the month before surgery as such an exciting time.  Yes, it's normal to be nervous, but you are in for a fantastic journey!  Best wishes,

Linda,
Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. It seems like for so long you are in the "get all tests, appts done" mode and then BAM!, you have a date. So thanks for letting me know it is normal to be nervous.

Reading your blog and responses to others has been very reassuring. You help all of us to remember that this is the way to go.
Thanks again,
Vicki

My dear Vicki, I am so happy for you...  You know i'll be nosy and come in here more often now. Just to see how you are holding up until then and of course follow you on your journey as well.

Congratulations!
