Finally living

Life before my GB was devastating. I was alive yet not living. I had teenage kids who I couldn't do anything with because I was sick all the time, or I didn't have the energy to go anywhere. I was a hermit for many years. BUT.........Guess What............. I am 10 weeks out......58 lbs lighter and I have been on the go go go go go. I did get into trouble last week when I started a Security job that had me sitting for 12 hrs(original plan was to be on walk detail) and answering phones. I forgot to take my vitamins a lot, only ate 2 3oz. meals, if that, and never consumed enough water to hold me. I had to terminate my employment but within 2 days of getting back on track... I am better than ever and on the go go go again. I am doing 2 paper routes (at age 40) which takes about 3 hours in the early am and get to be home before the kiddies wake up and spend the entire day saying "yes, let's go" My kids are 20, 18 and of course the little bundle we adopted who will be 2 on the 10th, my husband and I are picking up right where we left off years ago... We don't ever talk about the past....there is just too much "now" to enjoy! Thank you all for getting me through all of this. It is quite the journey! Aloha and Best Wishes, Merit

How wonderful!!  Yes, life is a lot better when you feel well and are comfortable moving, isn't it?  I really believe I will never regret doing this. Linda

Merit,
You are such an inspiration to the rest of us who are still waiting for our surgery.

I am like you were - wanting to get out, but hindered by the ol' bod. So, hearing how you are able to go, go, go... is music to my ears.

Keep up the great work,
Vicki
