Lap Band Approval from ODS Insurance - Prefered Provider

Hi, I am kind of new to the post and not very familiar with the insurance authorization process. I just finish the series of my tests from OHSU and currently wait for the next step forward. Does any of you have any feedback dealling with ODS - Prefered Provider Thanks, Irini

I think its pretty comparable between insurance companies.  The information is submitted to be reviewed (sometimes by a committee sometimes by a single person).  You'll know in a couple of weeks.  Most people seem to hear by about three months after everything is submitted. You can call your insurance company and ask the status and see what type of feedback you have.  I also know that, with Legacy (Oregon Weight Loss), their insurance person was very knowledgeable.  For me I believe my answer came about a month and a half after the paperwork was submitted.
