Here in the PNW, I'd throw a big salmon fillet on the barbie and let everyone have at it! No dad for me any longer and I'm not married, so no kids or dad here to celebrate. I'm having steak myself today with lots of salad.
Happy father's day to you Taylor and to all the other dads on this board!

Happy Father's Day to you, Taylor! (And all the other dads on this board!)
I saw my 82-y/o dad for brunch earlier today, as well as my aunt and her son and his new g/f. The occasion was my birthday (yesterday) as well as Father's Day.
My dad was diagnosed with celiac last Friday (after having ignored the other relatives' being tested for so many years), and my aunt and her son both were diagnosed with celiac about 5 or 6 years ago. So we all ate a gluten-free brunch, with me eating mostly the protein (egg casserole, 2 strips of bacon, and 2 small sausage links--that was all the room I had in my very small 100-ML [3- oz] stomach). The rest had gluten-free waffles. For dessert, we had strawberries, with the celiacs drinking some kind of cream and the rest of us eating ice cream.
With my dad's being diagnosed with celiac, now he and my aunt are urging me to be tested for that (for the second time) because they believe that I may be celiac. I will bring that up with my next appt with the PCP on Friday, 6/27.

That sounds just wonderful. Home and having all the clan together for a meal. Happy Fathers day to you!
We just finished our big meal. We made BBQ ribs and corn on the cob with grilled veggies. First time we've grilled this year. It was good! I made a Pistachio cake for dessert (yes I eat my cake too but I'm further along than most of you guys). I tell you I'm tired from cooking all day. And go figure my husband and I were just in here doing the dishes. Would have called the kids on it but they were all having such a good time all getting along talking and laughing in the living room. For my husband that's about as good a gift as he can get.
