I GOT A DATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What I did in prep for my surgery was to increase my protein intake and cut down on simple carbs. I also took a multivitamin pill every day up to the day before surgery. Plus, I took walks around the neighborhood on nicer days and a nearby shopping mall in inclement weather.
The day before surgery, I ate lightly, since I was not required to go thru any bowel prep. I did have to shower with a surgery disinfecting liquid the evening prior to my surgery and the morning of my surgery.
I lost 10# between my consult with my surgeon and my surgery day (exactly one month)! I was real surprised!
I believe that my pre-op actions may have contributed to my surgery having gone so well!
If you think that you may have problems with taking your meds in pill form post-op, then ask your pharmacy if there may be liquid forms for them. Or, have your providers write prescriptions for liquid equivalents.
Hope this helps!

Thank you for your all your support. I am working on going down further. I have been very active. Excited about feeling normal again after chemo I am now down 46 lbs. since finishing chemo. I did hurt my back this past week, my riding mower got stuck in a hole and I pushed and pulled and got it out, but the next day I bent over to put a leash on my dog to go for a walk and threw my back out. So I had to stay down and take it easy, so I read alot, and watched all the critters out of my front window (I live on a farm). Again thank you all so much.
