I GOT A DATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, after waiting all of this time wondering if they would let me have the surgery because of my cancer history, they called today and I have a date for surgery of july 9, 2008!!!!! I am so thrilled Lap-Band here I come. Sheryl

Congratualtions Sheryl.  I am having my surgery on July 1.  We will be loosers together YEAH!.  I am so excited I can hardly wait.  I am having the RNY.  I am so happy for you.  I had a great talk from Dr. O'Rourke at OHSU and he said your congratulatory eating is finished from now on it is do everything you can to have a sucessful surgery and the more weight that comes off the easier the surgery is to do.  So my work is cut out for me work every day to loose as much as possible before July 1.  We can do this together.   Linda

Wow!  That's great  Sheryl.  I am also having surgery that day, It is just a day surgery to remove a huge bone fragment from my left leg.  I was in a car wreck 12 yrs ago, broke both my legs and right arm.  My left leg was broke in 3 places, and they put a metal rod in it and it has healed crooked .  So now my leg is messed up. thank you all for your positive comments. Now I need to start working on eating like I have had the surgery. Does anyone have any suggestions? I will be receiving paperwork from Dr. Patterson's office soon about alot of pre-op things. Also, has anyone had any problems with taking their pill form medications after surgery? I have alot of pills I have to take anti-cancer, vitamins etc. Any suggestions?
