Saw this on another board this morning, but thought it would be so appropiate for Oregon Boards too. (Thanks Krista)
I am scrolling through the posts this morning and there are SO many new faces, I feel like I don't know many people anymore. (Although I know that isn't true!)

How 'bout we take a few moments and introduce ourselves? Newbies, jump in and make some friends!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My name is Brandon, living in the Eugene/Springfield area. I have been married 23 years in July.  I was banded by Dr. Patterson in December 07.  To date, I have lost close to 80 pounds, which by the way, is almost 4 20 pound sacks of potatoes.  YIKES!!  I like to equate my weight loss to something I can understand.  I have my daily struggles, but I definitely have absolutely no regrets in having my surgery.  It was positively the best thing I could have ever done for myself.

Hello to all.  My name is Nola.  I had my RNY, 1/31/08 at Southwest Washington Medical Center with Dr. Jan.  I have lost almost 80 pounds, as well, and feel great!  Mind you I still have my aches and pains, knee problems that RNY couldn't fix, but I wouldn't change a thing. I've been married to my husband James for 3 1/2 years and we are planning a move to Hillsboro this summer.

Hi, I'm Alicia and I live in Seattle.  I'm 27 yrs old and have been looking into the RNY for about 2 years.  Luckily my insurance changed their requirements so I qualified this year.  I'll be having the RNY in mid-July at Legacy.   Alicia

I'm Linda - I live in Eugene with two bossy orange tabby cats.  I'm soon to be 54 and at my age am much better off alone.  I'm too ornery to live with anyone else!  I had RNY with Dr. O'Rourke at OHSU in July of 2007.  I'm almost a year out and have lost almost 80 pounds.  I've been the same weight since January, which is very frustrating, but at least I haven't gained anything back.  I'm currently not exercising because I have a very bad back.  I'm scheduled for another MRI in the morning.  Finding it very difficult to even walk. I had a lapband surgery date on May 15 but due to some other health problems had to postpone things. I am on the mend and a couple of days ago started the ball rolling to set up a new date-I hope this one works out!! I live in the Beaverton area but work in Corvallis and Redmond-and before you ask yes my gas bill is SCARY!
