I get crabby once it gets over 80.  96 degrees yesterday was too much for me!  We are still in our temporary housing until we buy a house this summer.  This is the first hot spell that made me care that there is no air-conditioning and our upstairs bedrooms feel like an oven.   Plus, my mother-in-law decided to move back down to her house in the bay area - so my husband and I have been moving her furniture into our storage unit all day.  Oh boo hoo hoo......I could complain about REAL problems, but I am one who always feel the need to crab when it gets really hot.  I drink so much water that even though I'm hungry nothing seems like an option because you feel so full....but still hungry.  Hot weather is fine if I'm poolside with an umbrella drink.  Otherwise, mid seventies! I am so sorry to hear this.  The last I heard was shortly after it was put in, and she was finding such relief.  That will probably give you the courage to go forward and get another one inserted, but it sure sounds like it's been tough.  That would make anyone hesitate.  Still, the awful pressure is back and that has to be dealt with.  Poor kid!!!  And we all know that you would take the pain for her in a minute.  Is her doctor out of OHSU?  I have wondered if they are the place to be in Portland?  Ava's doctor is out of Emanuel and is a pediatric nuero - I have noticed the ICH website seems to be generated out of OHSU.  Take some moments to gather your own self once in a while.  My wish is always that if only there was a crystal ball telling me it was going to be O.K. in the end I could get through the hard part.  My thoughts are with you all!  Call me any time.  We can always meet up! I prefer temps no warmer than 75 degrees and don't tolerate hot weather very well at all!  When it gets hot, my place gets unbearably hot even with zillions of fans running and drapes drawn.  I wish my place had air conditioning, but the Pacific NW isn't known for air conditioning in many homes. I was lucky that I was at the OHSU hospital for my WLS between May 14 and May 19.  My room was air conditioned and faced to the west.  The nurses kept me apprised about the hot weather.  It would have been unbearable had I gone home as scheduled on May 17.  But I stayed 2 more nites instead due to a medical situation that the doctors wanted to monitor more closely.  By the time I was released from the hospital, the temps had cooled down to about 85, but it was quite humid.
