Hey Guys and Gals,

Great to see all the comments and private messages sent to me.

I am doing absolutely fabulous.

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you.

I have been away on Job Interviews (two interviews), 10 flights and busy with family matters.   The airline travel was okay and I had zero pain.  The job interviews were tough because I was 1 week post op and there were meal functions planned into the interview process.  I was able to negotiate around the meals for the most part.  I poked at my food, moved it around my plate, and then retired it.  I did have some lettuce and bits of chicken.

Things have been going well.  I am done with my Lovinox Injections last night.  Now my blood will get back to normal and my bruises will heal.

I felt great at 4 days post op.  I was back to my normal sleeping and sleeping positions at 5 days post op.  I have kept the infrared heat pad on my wounds and I am very pleased.

I do have trouble drinking too fast and then get a extreme gas burpy feeling.  I keep telling my self to keep sipping.

I have not weighed, yet I know my clothes are falling off.

Sounds like you're doing great if you could do all that travel.  Are you off to Hawaii soon?  I think you were the one who was going?  Anyway -- it's good to hear you're feeling well.  I'm not sure of the date for the June meeting yet.  Maybe we can have an outdoor weekend meeting.  Those are always fun. That all sounds great!!!  Although, now we need a NEW update.  I can't imagine doing job interviews and traveling in the first two weeks out - jeez!  Good luck.  It's great to imagine that when you are at that new job, you are going to be in such a different and better place in both body and mind.  It will be a great way to go into a new situation.  As you learned already....it really isn't very hard to "hide" your eating restrictions in most all situations.  I learned that people are rarely very aware of what any one else is actually eating.  I feel bad to know that one  trick is best known by anorexics - that you can move your food around on your plate and it can look at least half gone without even having eaten anything. You are so lucky to be off to such a smooth start.  You will get used to your new system and be able to avoid the results you don't want. Patty
