where to go for psych eval ohsu

hey anyone know where i can get my psych eval done for ohsu.....

I got mine right in the clinic at OHSU.  My psychologist is trained in bariatrics. If you were to get a psychologist outside of OHSU, then make sure that he/she is trained in bariatrics.

When I visited the nurse practitioner said the OHSU psychologist was out on maternity leave. They gave me a printed list of psychologists who were willing to work with OHSU. You can email the nurse practitioner for a list...Beware I called several and they were difficult to get an appointment with.

I dont have her email address but if you have your my chart set up you can click on a link there and send an email. If you do not have mychart set up call the office and ask them. They will talk you through the process and then you can email any time you have a quesiton!! Tina

As I told another poster elsewhere in this thread, the NPs prefer that we use MyChart to e-mail them.  Either name has to be on the drop-down list in order to e-mail one.  With MyChart, e-mails can be sent to only one person at a time. I did receive an e-mail message in my regular e-mailbox with cc to both NPs about 3 weeks ago.  However, I did not add either NP to my address book and have since deleted that message.

I have heard of the difficulties of getting psychologists outside of OHSU who are trained in bariatrics. I saw the psychologist for my psych eval in the clinic at OHSU a couple of months ago.  She works in the main campus somewhere and takes the tram down to the clinic.  She appeared to be too old to get pg.  I have seen her twice in the past two weeks as part of a three-year research project that I am participating in at OHSU. The NPs at OHSU advised me that the only way to e-mail them is thru the MyChart account.  The NP's name has to appear on the drop-down list.  Shortly after my appt with Dr. D, I e-mailed him thru MyChart and one of his NPs responded in his place.
