Vancouver support group

Hi,  I am looking for a support group in Vancouver. I am having my surgery in Portland but live in Vancouver. Does anybody know of one for both pre & post op patients? Thanks

As I mentioned on the Washington board, check with SWMC for information.  I don't go to any support groups regularly (not even the ones at Legacy).  I just didn't get much information out of them.  There was briefly a meeting at Legacy Salmon Creek but that got disbanded because only two or three people would ever come. Hi Linda.  I know that Southwest has a meeting once a month.  When I called, they said it was just for folks having surgery at Southwest.  Truthfully, I don't know how they would ever know....best of my knowledge it's not like they take roll call or anything. I'm going to be going through Portland with Dr. Patterson.  I would be interested in getting together with some folks over coffee....anyone else?  Maybe we can get something planned.  Nice to get to know some people and share in like experiences. Hi Linda....me again.  I looked up the group at Southwest.  Pre-op meets 2nd Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in Southwest Health Education Center. tk

I am also using Dr Patterson. Love to meet up for coffee, water, whatever! Let me know where is best for you, I'm in east county, not opposed to driving somewhere. Off to bed I go, 4:30 comes early at our home

Sorry, I have been off the board for a while. There is a meeting at Kaiser in Salmon Creek the third Thursday of every month from 6:30 to 8:30pm. It is for anyone not just Kaiser patients. This meeting just started this year and at the last meeting I think there was about 25 people. Brenda
