So when I eat now- I feel guilty- because I can eat like 1-2 cups- SHOULD i be eating that much- I am still losing weight- but guilt shuns me! I guess it depends on what I eat- I can eat a Half of a sandwich now- I eat wheat bread and turkey or ham and cheese- and I can eat the whole half- so I was just curious what others are doing- I was also told I can have my latte- as it has 8 grams of protein for the small 12 oz one- with sugar free flavors- some times I get sf white choc and another flavor- but I can have these for breakfast- sounds weird but it is like having a cup of hot ilk with some coffee in it- any one else do that? I am also able to eat the Safe brand eatign right- I can eat 1/2 to 3/4 of the boxed dinner is that the right amount????? Thanks all!

I am a little over 2 years out and I also enjoy my coffee drinks.  Always skim milk and sugar free.  It is also my breakfast.  I do not like milk otherwise.  Julia

Hi Julia, How are you doing?  You look great!!   I will see you at our support meeting on the 28th hope you can make it.   I have a appointment on the 14th in Eugene for my eye's.  I had this appointment even before WLS, my eye lids are droopy and I cannot see well at night.  I hope if they do something with them that it does not hurt. Chrisy,  I can't say my eyes hurt, but dry, scratchy and tender to touch and lots of bruising.  I bruise easily though and also had a reaction to the ointments, drops etc. probably from the preservatives in them that seemed to increase the dry, red, scratchy part.  They are feeling really good now and I am very pleased with the eyes.  People are saying "oh you are wearing eye make-up now"  and I always have.   Guess it was a waste of my time and money before!  Is you insurance going to pay?  I did not check with them but if I had gone to my opthamologist because of the droopy eyes and vision problems, it probably would have paid.  Oh well I am happy with the eyes and the tummy.  What M.D. are you seeing in Euegene?  I had Dr. Jewell, plastic surgeon do mine.   How are you recovering from your hyster?  Doing good I assume.  Julia

Julia, I went and had my eyes checked in Oct and had an appointment with Dr Hunt in Eugene, but that is when my gallbladder went bad and I had to cancel.  My opthamologist referred me to Dr Hunt so hopefully the ins. will pay for them because I can see my eye lids and lashes sometimes and hopefully they will pay, if not they will just have to wait until I can play catch up on my dr. bills. I am coming along slow but sure on the hyster, has heart failure when I got the hospital bill for two days, liked to scared me to death.  Hope to see you at our meeting.
