I am originally from Michigan, but I made the best move ever and that was here to ORegon.I live in a small town, called Winston ( known from the wild life safari). It is the next city from roseburg.Anyone close? My husband and I have both had the RNY.He had his in may of 05 and I had mine in march of 06. He had lost 200 pounds but since put some on as his mother passed away and he went into some pretty serious depression. I have lost about 160 and have not gained any back and doing all i can not too. I could ramble on for days,if there is anyone interested in chatting please feel free to write me anytime,i love to chat.

Yes, my mom and I visited the wild animal safari in Winston on our way home from Red Bluff, Calif in 1976. We got to see almost all the animals and all the lions (including cubs) were asleep, with the keepers in caged carts keeping watch over them. Our most unforgettable experience was when my mom was trying to take pictures of the ostriches as they pecked around the car. Fortunately, there were several keepers keeping watch over them.
The best places to visit in Oregon is along the entire Oregon coastline. There are many interesting things to see. Plus, many people go down to the coast to watch storms during the winter months from ocean-front hotels/motels. Neat!
Welcome to Oregon!

Oh yes,I love the coast. We take a trip there often actually. We are about a hour from the coast and there are days that we just hop in the car and take a ride.I love it. The coast is soooooooooooo relaxing and amazing to me.
