Would love some names of Plastic S. in Oregon that people have used with good results. Is there any pictures of any of us on the Oregon site who has had surgery? Thanks Carolee

Carolee, I saw Dr. Jewell in Eugene and will have my surgery at McKenzie-Willamette.   Brandon mentioned him too.  I have a friend who had breast reduction surgery with him earlier in the year and recommended him.  He is very knowledgable about the needs of weight loss patients, with the skin needs as well as the metabolic issues.  He is quiet and not a real outgoing personality but he seems to know his stuff.  I know what you mean about the cost.  I didn't think the plastic surgeon cost was terrible (but what do I know!!) but then you add the cost of the overnight stay for the TT and the anesthesiologist, the cost increases.  Did find out that McKenzie discounts 30 % for cash which helped.   I need the whole body lift and probably a complete face lift but am starting with the TT and eyelids and maybe next year, save more money and go for the breast reduction and lift.  So far, if I don't look at my behind side, I don't worry about it much.  If I didn't have fat in my butt, it would be flat out flat!  Steamroller  Julia

Yes I agree with the Dr's cost. I didn't think that was as bad as I thought until they added those other charges on. Do you have trouble with your legs sagging to? I do but the Dr. I talked to said he can take off that inner thigh skin but not left the sagging skin. Have you seen any pictures that Dr. Jewell has done as far as face lifts and TT? Carolee

Carolee, I do have sagging skin on my legs, inner and outer thighs.  I may see some improvment of the outer thighs with the extended tummy tuck but the inner thighs will have to stay the way they are---lots of wrinkles.  That is the one surgery that I don't want to do.  The inner thigh area seems to be the most fragile.  If I were a young chicken I might think differently but alas I am old---too old for a bikini or short shorts.  My knees are o.k. so could wear some shorts.  I do have fat in my back above the waist so that is why I might do the back--buttocks lift at another time.  My face shows and my panni shows so that is what I want to take care of first.  I have skinny chicken legs (with wrinkles) so my pants are always too big in the butt and thigh area because of the tummy.   I did see a lot of pictures of Dr. Jewells patients.  He also has a web site.  http://www.markjewellmd.com/   with some pictures.   Julia

Michael Bohley, MD   FABJLOUS TT and boob results!!!!  Sorry, no pictures of my boobs. GOOGLE him.  He has his own surgical suite and they will work with to the nth degree financially. Adventist hospital is acrossn the street. You will get a lot more than you pay for as he really cares about the results and just cares, period. Really worth a consultation, at least. Anyway, hope it helps. tee

I think I've made up my mind that when it's time for me to have stuff done I'm going to CosMed in Tijuana.  Michelle (Eggface) on the Main Board has had her surgery there, as well as a lot of folks on the PS board.  The surgeons are licensed to practice in the US but have a clinic there because of the low overhead.  The surgery is so much less expensive there.  Folks love those doctors too.
