Fabulous at 40!!!
Well I am one week from being 1 year out from my RNY as well as 1 week from the big 4-0!!! I spent my 39th birthday in the hospital sipping the liquid diet and planning how fabulous I would be at 40. It is truly amazing how I feel today about myself..... Floppy skin and all!!! I got a wild hair the other night and decided to go to the beach for my birthday.....then decided that it would be a Hawaiian beach!!! I leave next week on a plane.....no seatbelt extender, tray table down all the way, able to use the airplane bathroom without fear of not fitting through the door and having to go back to my seat full bladder and all!!!
I am not at goal but WOW 132 pounds is gone forever!
I see so many of you that are doing sooo great! It is just so exciting.!
Make sure you give yourself the credit that you deserve along with a BIG treat (vacation is mine)!!!
Wow girl! LOOK AT YOU! You have done so well. We had the same surgeon. I'm a bit older than you, but I remember my 40th birthday being wonderful even though I was a big girl at the time. 40 is a very freeing age, and now that you have a body that makes you even freer, you can do whatever you want. Enjoy that warm sun and sand and say aloha to lots of folks for me (doesn't matter, they all say it!). Congratulations!

Thanks, I feel really great....Even if I never lost another pound and just stayed like this forever I think I would still be happy. I am really happy about turning 40 and being healthier and able to think about turning 50 and 60 and maybe 70 for the first time ever. You look great too by the way....and you dont have much more to go!!
what fun Hawaii.
I to am a year out on Saturday, down 90 lbs with 35 to go to goal . but still feel like I missed the mark as the weight loss is really slow not but I feel better than I have felt in so many years. I am going to take up hiking this summer and will do alot more scuba diving, hunting, fishing, and camping this year.
you should be so pround of your self, congrats on the 132 lbs that is incredable
