Dr Deveney, Lap DS, not open DS?
Anyone have Lap DS, not open DS, done with Dr Deveney?

I am a pre-op DS with Dr. D. He is an advocate for minimally invasive surgery and prefers to start with lap whenever possible. I would prefer to have mine done lap, but Dr. D. makes the final decision as to lap or open.
If he finds it necessary to open up during the operation, then the operation will be considered a lap converted to open.
There are several other reasons that he would do it open all the way, such as revisions to DS or multiple adhesions from prior abdominal surgeries.
