Just want to get idea's on what everyone is eating . The last one I read sure sounded like everyone was fasting. I'm 3 months out and just would like to see what others are eating on a regular day not their sick bad day. Thanks Carol

So far,for today I have had: B:  6 oz peach yogurt L:  1 1/4 cups pureed bean soup D:  Might have some chili Probably  not the best day to be asking me what I am having, as Thursday I had my first fill in my band.  So, I am two days liquids, two days mushies...and then I am ready for a "regular" diet.  Already thinking about making a nice pot of beef stew.....the guys will finish most of it and it will taste so good with all the cold weather the weatherman is predicting.....................

HI Carol, Here's a typical day for me-I'm 9 months out: First thing in the morning: short nonfat latte (yes, I use real caffeine-I'm an addict) Breakfast: 1 egg with spinach or ham and 1 oz of cheese, with a little salsa or ketchup Lunch: Homemade lentil/bean soup or chili, or dinner leftovers Snack: Another short nonfat latte Snack: protein drink (EAS Advantedge or Worldwide from Trader Joe's) Dinner: 2 or 3 oz. chicken/meat/fish with veggies, plus a couple bites of brown rice/potatoes/whole wheat pasta/sweet potato  Dessert (if I can afford the calories that day): Gnu high fiber bar, or dry Kashi Go Lean cereal, or 1/4 c. Ben and Jerry's light frozen yogurt, 5 prunes, etc, Laughing Cow Light cheese wedge on 3 sesame thins, etc. I track/measure everything I eat on thedailyplate.com and try to stay under 1200 calories a day, with at least 80g of protein and fewer than 40g of fat. I find that I really need a protein drink each day if I want to get that amount of protein in. Sometimes I have less, sometimes more. If I have a treat like a cookie or a piece of pizza, I track it and work it into the day's calories. I am not perfect, and on the weekends I tend to go off plan a little, but I always track it anyway. This helps me realize that I don't need to give up the whole day just because I ate a donut-it's possible to have a treat sometimes and move on and not ruin the day. I make almost all of my own food-I hardly ever eat out any more. I am strict about not drinking 15 minutes before a meal or 1 hour after a meal. In between meals I drink as much water as possible. I hope this helps! Lisa

Carol I am 4wks post-op  B- 1/2 oatmeal/made with milk with small amount of cantelope (helps with digestion) S- protein shake L- 1/2cottage cheese and some vegtables, steamed or cantelope D-I make a soup that has 3oz of chicken, about 2" carrot, 2" celery little bit of onion with 1/2c milk with chicken boullion- I cook this up until the vegs are soft, then I blend this up and it  is thick and soothing to the stomach + its filling and nutricious S- 1/2 yogurt cup I found a protein shake- Triple Whey protein, that has 130 ca, 5g fat, and 26g of protein, mixed with 1c. 2%milk gives you 260cal, and 34g protein.  The chocolate flavor tastes JUST like chocolate milk, not chalky, or aspertane tasting at all.  Sounds like a lot of cal, but they are all protein cal. which your body needs.  You can only find it at Max Muscle stores.  I average about 80-90g of protein a day with no problem.  The main thing to remember with any weight loss program is WATER, it's the only way to rid your body of accumulated fats and excess water retention.  I know its difficult, but I get in at least 70oz of water/d Hope this helped Carolyn

You are doing sooooooooooooooo good, a big congradulations. I seem to be hungry mainly at night and don't get that satisfaction feeling anymore. I am the one that is losing slow. My calories seem higher that all of yours, that's why I'm losing slowly but have since the beginning when I was having even 500. Now it's between 750 and 850 at 3 1/2 months out but even got up to 1000 one time and don't feel stuffed. The pouch doesn't seem to be working that good for being pretty new since surgery, but I'm trying HARD. I increase my exercise to 1 hour. That seems very small to the 5 miles you do. I joined the gym, didn't increase my input and gained 2 pounds last week. I stopped for 2 days and lost it. I guess it was water retintion of a quick muscle thing, but can muscle come on that quick to cause a weight gain????? So here I am the same again, will have to quit all the different things and stick to protein and no snack (which is usually fruit) at night.
