Six month check-up today

I had my six-month check-up today.  Dr. O'Rourke is pretty happy with my progress, but afterwards, I went for my Labs 2 study and realize that my body fat content is still about 44% ACK!  I think a lot of this is because I haven't be exercising because of the back surgery.  I can step up the exercise now, so hopefully, my fat content will be lots less at one year! Linda, I bet you see that figure drop dramatically over the next 6 months.  You've done so well, don't let this discourage you.  You look great!  Can't wait to see you Sunday at the breakfast, if you can make it.

Hi Linda, I can relate! I need to step up, or start I should say, an exercise program. I am having a hard time getting motivated. I joined curves a year ago and have never gone. How humilitating. I was paying for it all this time and not going. OMG. This will be the lasrt time in my life I will do something like this again. I need to try out a few things and see what I like best. I have thought about going to the pool, or trying out a regular gym. I used atread mill about a week ago and I liked it. I am a baby about excercising out in the cold. Maybe I will post here when I go and check out some options. I need to do this for myself. Thanks for letting me share, Christina

What type of tool/test did they do?  Most of these tests are woefully inaccurate.  I wouldn't put much value on the test until you are able to start doing more and actually see the results.  I doubt your real "read" is actually that high.

Linda- you have lost a lot! And had a surgery in between!! Once you exercise you'll be all set.   I am slow losing due to rheumatoid arthritis and not being able to "move" and exercise like I want to- frustrating!
