Restaurant cards in Oregon

Hi Fellow Oregonians! I've read some on the main board about certain restaurant's not accepting the cards from our surgeons that allow us to order from the senior or kids menu. I thought it might be helpful to list some places here in Oregon that DO accept and DON'T accept the cards.  I tried my own hand at using the card this evening at Seven Feathers Hotel and Casino Resort in Canyonville. They said they honor it for the kids and senior meals and allowed me to get the Christmas buffet at the kids price.  Any other places that you all have experienced using your cards?

I got a nice discount at Empire Chinese Buffet on Franklin Boulevard in Eugene. Linda

Not me FATGURL,  Applebee's honors them, as does Elmo's.  So does your MOTHER'S as you well know.  So does DiggerDans in Sutherlin, I believe so does the OliveGarden in Eugene, Oregon.  Hope this helps you Love

One Denny's restaurant that I go to regularly allows me to order from the seniors' menu, altho I don't have a restaurant card.  I even ordered a meal from the seniors' menu when I stopped by the one in Salem on my way home from Eugene a couple months ago.

Which Docs are giving out the Restaurant cards?  Is Dr. Deveney?  I am almost there - qualifying for senior meals, but not quite...and sometimes those "kids meals" are more than I can eat...but the price would be nice.

Gayla - all the surgeons at OHSU give them.  If you didn't get one, you might want to call and have them send you one.  The darn thing is big though.  I shrunk mine on the copier at work.  The ones they give out aren't exactly a handy size to carry in one's purse! Linda

Thank you - I'll call and ask for one - because there are a few times I'd like to eat something other than soup when I go out, yet, I don't want to spend the money for a whole meal - and Al doesn't always order things that I like so that I can share with him.   Gayla
