One Year Checkup

Went to Dr. Patterson for my one year checkup.  Tomorrow is my anniversary and I am so pleased that I am down 115 pounds (by my scale) and 113 on theirs.  Since my appointment was not until 1:45 P.M. I actually ate lunch with my friend and diet buddy (who is down 85 pounds) and then happily jumped on the scale to be weighed in.  A year ago I would have been fasting and starving because I would not want any food or liquid to reflect on the scale.  What a difference a year makes.  I passed with flying colors and am 15 pounds from goal.  What makes me so happy is that I sailed through this year and have a new me on this end.  I am also very "long in the tooth" so guess I proved you can teach this "Old Dog" a lot of new tricks.  Merry Christmas to all of you and a Very Happy New Year. Great job Jeanne!  It says a lot that you are willing to eat lunch before getting on that scale.  I think that means you have developed a healthy relationship with food along this journey, and that is one of the best things that can happen.  Congratulations on doing a fine job at the weight loss.  Merry Christmas to you too!
