Hey all, I am almost 2 months out but having trouble eatting!  I just don't know what to eat ( besides cottaage cheese ) and how often, and how much.  I am so affraid of stretching my new pouch or blocking it!  It seems like I just try to drink things instead of eatting.  Can any of you give me some idea what you do? thanks amy

Amy - you sound a lot like me.  I don't eat a lot of solid stuff, and I'm four months out.  Typical day for me: Coffee and pills Cottage cheese and fruit (sprinkled with ground flax seed because I can't poop without it )  sometimes I add a sprinkling of grapenuts for crunch Citrical Creamy Bite Progresso 99% FF soup Skim Milk Citrical Creamy Bite Some protein (usually fish or steak) and a mushy vegetable Maybe cheese and crackers for a snack Some days I eat the cottage cheese and fruit more than once a day I find I can eat steak much more easily than I can turkey or chicken I just ordered a pressure cooker so I can cook meat to extreme tenderness.  I prefer soft food. Hi Amy, if you're still having trouble with solids, try blending hearty things like bean with bacon soup, or split pea with ham soup. You'll get lots of protein and it won't hurt your tummy. Have you tried refried beans? They're nice with a little salsa and cheese. You'll eventually be able to eat more solid stuff. I'm 7 months out and can eat almost anything now, except dry chicken. Also, what doesn't work this week might work next week, so keep trying new things little by little!

One of the things I enjoyed when I could first start on something other than just liquids was refried beans.  If you like them, they are are good source of fiber and protein. Shirley
