I'm thankful for both the new friends I've found here in the last Month, and also for whatever cosmic power gave me the kick in the butt to get me to start making changes in my life.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!  Yes, we indeed have a lot to be thankful for.  I know I do.  This surgery has changed my life for the better, and I am so grateful.  Also, I just got back from a Caribbean cruise with my family and lost 2 lbs!  That never would have happened without this surgery.  There would have been a 7 lb. gain before.  Being healthy, happy, and able to foresee an even better future is something we all look forward to.    Happy Thanksgiving!  Now, on to Christmas!! Oh - I'm actually down 47 lbs now, but can't get the ticker thing to work anymore....just for the record.  And I'm now in the "onederland" area, finally - even with the cruise.

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too! This year was SO much better than last year for me. It wasn't about the food-it was about spending time with my loved ones and having a wonderful day. I didn't feel like I was going to die from stuffing myself past capacity. I just nibbled a bit and that was it.

Thank you, Tara!  And happy belated Thanksgiving! Mine was a quiet day.  Visited with relatives and ate one serving each of turkey, stuffing, mashed taters (made from REAL taters), and fruit salad.  Also ate a warm apple crisp with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side about an hour after dinner was finished.   I have never felt the need to stuff myself on Thanksgiving.  Not worth the experience. Got to take quite a bit of turkey meat home for leftover turkey sandwiches.
