Kaiser folks - tell me about the 3 surgeons!

I am waiting for a call to schedule my appointment with a surgeon and I was told that I can choose which one I want - I'm really curious who each of you had and what you thought of them - so that I can get an idea of which one would be the best match for me. Can you tell me what they each required at your meeting with them and how you liked them? Thanks in advance for information!

I had DR.Patterson, she has taught the rest of the surgeons, she was great I liked her very much. She is at GoodSam Legacey,in Portland. Jo Ann

No, Dr. Patterson is not a Kaiser surgeon.  She works at Legacy.

Go with Dr. Moiel, he is definately the best bariatric surgeon Kaiser has, he has the most experience, he is the chief of surgery over at Kaiser Sunnyside.  I don't know about Dr. Leger, but he has'nt been with Kaiser that long.  I would not let that other surgeon, Dr. Ludemann operate on me, he has very little experiance with Kaiser. I had Dr Moiel and was very pleased.  Actually I  had Dr Leger & Dr Moiel. My surgery sister (day after me) had Dr Ludemann. HE came recomendeded to her by a relative that works at Kaiser. I had a chance to talk with him during one of his follow ups with my surgery sister. I must tell you I was very impressed.  You can pick the Dr you want, but becasue of the full team concept Kaiser has I do not feel it matters which surgeon; also because of the  protocal Dr Moiel has placed on the department surgeons the same standards are met. The requirements you have met to get the apt with the surgeon are the toughest ones....their requirements will be minimal with the exception...NO WEIGHT GAIN once you have surgery date.
