FRIENDS NEEDED WANTED

HELLO  I live in Portland nd am new to the area well entire state. I moved here from Tampa florida and have no friends. I work from home so i dont get out much mostly just weekends unless i have to run to store or some sort. I am in the beginning stages of having the wls again( in 2003 i was in preop and walked out- said no) so this time in ready cause 4 years later not any healthier. I looking to meet people of all ages and shape sizes before or after wls just some one who understands and feel and knows what its like and can be a great support buddy for each of us. I am not very mobile as far as exercising only cause i hate doing it alone. I like to walk dont mind and like the aqua swim classes so if any one interested just drop me a line and say hello. and if you are to far and still want to be pen pals/email pals not to say we cant get in our cars and meet one day that is great also. every one have a blessed day ! Susan- I would love to be your friend :)  I wish I lived closer to you, but I live in Cottage Grove (almost 3 hours south... about 30 min. south of Eugene).   I am also new to Oregon, I moved from Calif. almost a year ago and I have been making new friends very slowly since I don't work.  I've been trying to get involved in things that interest me, hoping to attract new friends to me :) I will send a friends request and private message to you :)

Hi, my name is Eliza.  I've lived in Portland since I was 14.  My lapband surgery is on Nov. 9 in Coos Bay, OR.  I used to go to the 9am water aerobics class at LA Fitness in Gresham.  The only reason I stopped is because my sister didn't want to go with me after a while, I hate doing things by myself also.  I run a home-based business so can dictate my own schedule somewhat.  Having a support buddy would be a great thing.  have you decided what WLS you are going to do?  -Eliza

Did you see the post about possibly getting together for breakfast?  It is still in the planning stages but this is often how many of us get out and meet each other for the first time or two...  You're definitely welcome if it really happens.  I'm sure everyone who can make it would love to meet you. Hi there and welcome to OH and to Oregon. I live in Albany. Do you know where that is? I use to live in Portland but I like Albany because its slower pace and I was ready for the change. I haven't had my surgery yet and don't have a date yet either but hopefully I will within a few more weeks. Message me anytime if you like I don't have to  many friends either. Take care Michelle

Hi Suan: My name is Deb, I live in Salem, and also have not had surgery yet.  I am waiting on an approval from my insurance.  I also love water aerobics, and I also do that laying back bike.  I am a member at the Courthouse club.  I would love to be your friend.  I also would like to  meet more friends and would like to get more support.  I went to the info class last month at OHSU and not sure which doctor that I will have yet.  Well hope that we keep in touch.   God bless you always,   Deb

i have my orientation at ohsu on monday 11.19.07 and not sure of doctor or type of surgery either kind of mixed and hope that after i meet all the docotrs and test etc i can speak to all the professional and view my history and see what uis best for me.. im going to support group meeting on tuesday 11.20.07 come along we can meet or something a few ladies from eugene or further are coming so join us its my first one.. hoep all is well talk to ya soon
