Did anyone go on a plateau so soon after surgery?
It's not the end. I hit that plateau also. It lasted almost 2 weeks so be prepared. Your body just went through major surgery and is in shock at the limited amount of food you are giving it compared to what it is used to and it is storing it rather than burning it off. Your body will soon realize that all is good and the weight will start shedding. It is really frustrating and scary but it will happen.

Yes, Carolee - it happens to all of us. Probably after about three weeks, you'll have another. I had one right before I hit the three month mark that lasted almost 2 weeks! Your body just needs time to catch up with the fewer calories. There's a strong woman sitting up in your brain saying "hold on now! Winter's coming! We have to hold onto this fat, not let it go!!" It takes a while to get her to calm down. Soon she'll realize that the weight loss is inevitable and she'll let it go. Nice to know we would have been survivors in the ice age, isn't it?

Thank -You, Thank-You, Thank-You. I will try to remember all this from both your notes. Today was a bad day on top of it. I have a 93 year old mother I try to take care of in her own home . I had arranged for care for 2 weeks after surgery so I could relax with no stress, but that didn't work. So maybe I'm just stressing over nothing from all the other stress's still in my life. Thanks again for the support.
