Heading to Portland............

Hi fellow Oregon folks, Today is the day..........am headed up to Legacy in 30 minutes for my two hour weight before surgery.....I'm excited and a bit nervous...........have been avoiding the board for a while, not really sure why but need to get firmly settled again. You know, I was freaking out, thinking something was going to happen that would stop this.........and then did pre-admission over the phone yesterday so it felt a little more real. Then, I waited at home, puttering around my house, calling friends waiting for someone to call me and tell me what time to show up today. Well, by 9:00 pm, I called the hospital. NO-ONE HAD CALLED ME!!!!!!   The admissions person put me on hold and came back about 5 minutes later to tell me to be there at 12:00 today. So, again, I wonder.............is this really happening?!?!?!   I guess I'll know for sure when the anesthesiologist comes headed toward me with his goods!!!! Ok this is my first post. I'm sitting here waiting to hear .. something. It's been 2 1/2 hrs now since your surgery. YEA!!! I know you won't be writing soon, but when you do you will know that your friends are thinking about you!. Hope everything went well.
