News on Deanna's surgery

Deanna's mom just called me from the hospital.  Deanna came through her lower body lift surgery just fine.  She is just getting wheeled into recovery, but the dr. said everything went well.  She was in surgery for 8 hours.  That's all the details I have for now.  She will have a quite a recovery, but with the proper rest and relaxation, she should be like new in no time. 

Wow - that's a long surgery!  I'll pray that she heals well.  I can imagine having extra skin removed can give one a whole new lease on life. Linda

Well, the way I understand it, they were opening her up from top to bottom and then all the way around too, so it was more than just the standard LBL.  But 8 hours is a long time.  I can imagine she will feel like she wa**** by a train.  I hope they have some really good pain meds for her.

One of these days she's going to be really happy with her decision...  Hopefully I'll be around for the good days, lol!

Glad to see that Deanna tolerated her surgery very well!  She sure will be like new after going thru her recovery period!
