How long?

In case you can't tell, I am getting antsy about my upcoming surgery.  I am awaiting insurance approval......and it just isn't coming fast enough. So, my question to you, is how long did you wait before gaining approval from your insurance company after your consult with the surgeon?   I was so excited today, only to be let down.  I checked the caller ID on my phone, insurance company had called.  Asked hubby if there were any messages....he said none, but that our son had answered the phone...................so I called my son, and he said it was something about insurance claims...........and to call if I had questions. I was certain it was my approval....but not today.  Thanks!

Hey Brandon - we missed you Saturday!  I think it took a little over a week after they sent my paperwork to BCBS. Linda

That darn Duck football game got in the way, but it sure sounded as though it was plenty of fun.  I plan on making the next one, come hell or high water!  

Did you call the insurance company or make yourself any type of nuisance? Or did you just sit back and let it happen?

LOL - Shirley and Randy got their dates right before me.  They went through OHSU just like me and I think it only took them two days to get approval (of course, they work for OHSU!!), so I started calling BCBS on day three.  When the gal told me it would be a week to ten days, I said -- that can't be!  My friends just got their approval in two days!  Well, that was the only time I called, but they called me on day six or seven and said I was approved.
