I went to my doc yesterday and she ordered labs for me. So I was off this morning to get my blood drawn.  I got a call from her shortly after I got back that the lab called her and said my potassium was low.  So she called me and I'm back on mega doses of potassium for a few days.  She said that my low potassium can cause fatigue and weakness, which I already knew.  By afternoon, I was shaking and my legs were close to buckling under me, so I'm glad I didn't make the trip.  I would have hated to collapse down there! I hope you all had a good time.  I'm sorry I missed you all.

Oh Kim  I'm sorry you're feeling weak again.  It would have been a long trip in your condition.  We did have fun.  Lots of new folks and lots of us oldies.  Randy stopped by and we hadn't seen him since before surgery -- he's really lost a bunch!  I hadn't seen Nancy in a long time either and she looks great.  Kim is melting!  She looks so good.  And, she has a new puppy who is just so cute.  I've got to get the pictures I took out of the camera. Sounds like the get-together was a hit! I wish I could have met everyone.  I knew it was going to be a big one.  Maybe next time I will be feeling up to it.

Kim- We missed you today :(  There was lots of goodies, too.  I made a SF Pumpkin Cheesecake that turned out pretty good :)  I was proud of it.  And Darla brought deviled eggs and meat rollups. Kim made delicious no-bake choc/peanut butter cookies.  Someone else brought SF Peanut butter cookies.  Someone else brought cheesecake muffin cups, yummy! ;)  Donna brought Turkey Chili. Julia was there, and Vicki.pnw, and Lowellian(Pam), and Brenda, and FitbyFifty (forget real name) hehehe. We had some pictures of us all together, hopefully someone will post them online. Take your potassium!  I'm glad you're at home resting, and not stressing about being down here. (((HUGS)))

All the food sounds wonderful!  I have not had the energy or creativity to try new things lately, so I go with my standards that are easy.  I've been craving deli sandwiches lately, so that's my newest obsession.  Sounds like you guys had a blast! I hope I'm up to it next time.

I didn't make it either, Kim, and I'm so disappointed.  First of all, I have missed the meetings ever since my surgery, and I really love going.  Second of all, I would have been there, but I picked up some sort of virus that came to life on Friday and have been bed ridden right up until tonight.  UGH!  The other thing is that I am in desparate need of clothes!  I garage sale most ever week-end - but I want to know - don't fat people garage sale their clothes off?  Or maybe they are like me - I hated buying clothes so  I would wear my clothes until they were either thin or suitable only for rags~!    Bottom line is, I would have loved to taste some of those yummies - especially that turkey chili!  I also have a ton of questions about what I am unable to eat, my vitamins and not being able to keep them down and what some of the rest of you are eating these days.  I've gone from a size 30-32 down to a size 24 in about 5 months - pretty amazing - I didn't really believe it would ever happen for me - but it does! I hope I can make it to the next group!  Keep me posted!

Sorry I didn't get to meet you also but I'm glad you didn't try to make the trip feeling so weak.
Take care. Hope the Dr. finds out all that's going on or does she think it's just low potassium?

Hi  Carol, It's not just the potassium.  I've battled low potassium since my original surgery.  We pump me back up and I'm good for a while, then it dips again.  This time it was lower than it has been at 2.46. Normal is 3.5 to 5.0.  Though my doc said it is not low enough yet for her to worry about heart arhythmia, though, so that is good.  Thank you all for your concern too.  I hope to meet you all next time.

Thank you Jo Ann.  I'm sorry I couldn't make it down.  I REALLY tried!  But I'm glad I didn't because I'm sure I would have been stranded there for quite a while.  It would have taken me all day to get back home, and with 2 kids, that would not have been a good thing.  So I'm home, resting, and counting the days until my appt. on Thursday. Thank you for the well wishes.
