OUCH!!! Sorry to see that your back is hurting!
I understand that you have lots to do.
Hope to meet you some other time.
Take care!

DS (lap) with Dr. Clifford Deveney. Cholecystectomy (lap) with Dr. Clifford Deveney 19 months post-op.
Has not weighed myself since 1/2010. Letting my clothes gauge my progress instead.
Well dang....I'm a day late and a dollar short. I just jumped on here because I figured it was about time for another breakfast. If you are planning one in the future let me know...drop me a line or put me on your friends list. I can let Joy/Patty/ and Tee know as well. Problem is that I'm so rarely on the boards anymore.
I WILL have more time in Nov and early Dec. Having another round of PS on 11/6 at OHSU w/ Dr. Hansen. I'll be one sore girl as she is doing a reverse TT as a revision, lipo to the waist, brachioplasty and lipo on the neck and thighs. I'll be walking like a mummy I'm sure.
Trisha
Oh yes by all means make the appt NOW. She is difficult to get in to see for the first consult, but mention my name. I don't know if it will help, but I've refered several there. Don't get a thing for it, but everyone has gotten in to see her in decent time.
No, I'm having a reverse TT. You see I had a prior open gallbladder surgery in 89 before the current lap method. She couldn't get aggressive w/ my TT because it would have "undermined" the scar. So it had to be done in 2 stages. Right now I have a perfectly flat stomach with a "muffin" top. I also had had a BL. This time around it is the revision, brachioplasty to get rid of the bat wings, some lipo on my thighs, neck and a bit in the waist area. I told her I wanted a waist even if it meant taking out bones LOL.....kidding. In the reverse TT she will pull in and UP using the surgical line for my BL and auxilla. I had had an anchor cut TT so that will be opened up as well, pulled in then upward.
I decided against the MTL at this time because I'm already having ENOUGH done in one time. Don't want to spend too much time under anesthesia and I'm up to 8 hours as it is. Also the MTL seems to be the one surgery that everyone has a difficult time recovering from....so IF I do it I'll combine it w/ a lower face lift in a year or so.
Julia, just so you know and are aware.....recovery from PS is different than from the WLS. It is a lot harder. It seems to zap your energy levels like nothing I've experienced before. It took me nearly 3 months to get to the point of hitting the gym again.
Hey...as far as "seeing someone".....I'm always seeing SOMEONE, but the someones periodically change LOL. Work DOES keep me busy, but I've also been busy riding motorcycles, rafting, bicycling, etc.....all the things I never would have done SMO.

Trisha, Thanks for the info. I probably won't have my surgery until summer or early fall next year as I changed jobs and need to build up some vacation. I do want to see her for a consult though, sometime after the first of the year. I have heard that the TT is much more painful and difficult to recover from and I am not getting any younger. My pannus hangs pretty low and I am sure if it were gone I would be able to wear at least 2 sizes smaller pants. I will be sure to mention your name. I wish you luck with you surgery.
So tell me, what is a MTL?? I would like to get a full face lift too but might settle for upper and lower eyelids. Julia
