So sad

Got a call last night that my aunt passed away.  She was 85, so lived a long life.  She was suffering from kidney failure and it was expected, but it's still sad.  My mom, who passed away 2.5 years ago, was her favorite sister.  I know she missed her terribly.  At least now they are together again. Oh, and other sad news.  Henry thinks he lost his wedding ring!  When I was admitted to the hospital, he was talking on the phone with me when he got off work to catch the bus. His ring was in his coin purse, and he dropped his kitchen knives and thinks his ring may have fallen out of the coin purse when he was getting the bus fare while bending over to pick up the knives.  We can't find his ring here at home.  We will tear apart the house tomorrow when he is home.  He may have stuck it in a pants pocket and it may be in the laundry. Keep your fingers crossed. I know how awful he feels, because I did the same thing the day before our wedding when I accidently left my wedding ring and watch at the tanning salon. Luckily, they found it and kept it for me.  I hope we find a happy ending to his.

I'm sorry to hear about the passing of your Aunt, but it is a nice thought that she and your mom are together again.  My Aunts were very close to my mom and have been missing her so.  While I hope they stay around as long as possible, I know they are anxious to be re-united. Say some prayers to St. Anthony!  He is the patron saint of lost objects! Linda

Kim, So sorry to hear about your aunt.  I once worked in a nursing home, there was a woman in there who was 99 yrs old, I went home and told my mom about how my evening went and about this lady I took care of, and she told me she was my great great aunt, that was a real suprise.  She died 1 week shy of her 100th birthday. I also lost my wedding ring, as I lost weight, my finger got smaller.  I thought it fell off in the bed somewhere.  6 months later, I found it stuck down the side of the seat in the car!  I still wear it, but on another finger.

So sorry to hear about your aunt.  At least she and your mom are living it up once again! I hope that Henry's wedding ring is found too.  It could be that the ring found its way on the floor right below the lower cabinets in the kitchen.  And don't forget to check the trash!

I am sad to hear about your aunt. Loss is a hard things and she should like she lived a good long life. That is always a comfort.  Oh and about the ring. I know he is sad my first husband lost his wedding ring and it was my dads wedding ring. my dad passed way a few weeks before my wedding and in honor of him my mom gave me his ring to give to bruce. When he lost it he was really sad because there was no replacing my dads ring. But as my dad would have said " its just a thing and they dont matter as much as the people do"  it may show up but if it does not " its just a thing" and 2 years from now wont seem as bad Kelly
