Kim,
I'm so sorry you're having such a horrific time with your surgeon and the hospital staff at your local hospital needs to be slapped, hard!
It's awesome that you are being so proactive, and that your PCP is right there with you, trying to move mountains for you. It must feel wonderful to be so supported.
Hopefully the other surgeon is correct and a revision won't be necessary.
Have you heard back from OHSU? Drs. Deveney, O'Rourke and Wolfe are awesome, and Susan Fee will be one of those mountain movers if you can get through to them.
Good luck, sending you some positive energy and good thoughts :)
Keep us apprised if OHSU contacts you!
Michele
I talked with OHSU yesterday and they confirmed my medical records are in review and it will take 3-5 days and not to expect to hear anything from them until mid next week at the earliest.
I'm hopeful I can get some help there. I am also hopeful that maybe the new pancreatic enzymes my PCP put me on may be helping me! My stomach has been GREAT today. And I gained another pound! Up to 99 again now.
I also got an e-mail from the other sugeon I contacted for a second opinion, and he said he would be happy to take me on as a patient if I find OHSU doesn't accept me or if the fit is not right. So I have a plan B. Whew!
Kim, we are still praying on this end and will continue to do so. You are doing a great job in getting a plan "B" starting as well. I do hope that OSHU gets to you before mid-week, it would be so very nice and wonderful for you and let's not forget DH Henry. With all of your problems that you are having with your health and the unexpected, it is just nice to know that you have someone that really cares deeply for you and to be at your side every step of the way! We and everyone else are here for you if you need anything!
Blessings
Chrisy
Wow, sorry they are taking so long :( but sooo glad to hear that the enzymes might be helping. It would be wonderful if a revision was NOT needed, after all you've been through to get here. More surgery ... ick!
I haven't posted in a long time over here, just kind of lurked and kept track of how you guys were all doing, but when I read your posts I had to at least attempt to give something back.
You are part of a great community of people who genuinely care about each other's welfare. :) It's awesome to watch, even when I'm not posting.
So stay strong, keep up with plans A and B and let us know how things are going, ok?
Thanks,
Michele
