Talked to my PCP

She is absolutely appalled at the treatment I got at the hospital.  And she doesn't understand the breakdown with the gastro doc either. She has all the hospital reports and doesn't understand why he, as the discharging dr. doesn't have them to be able to make me an appt. So she agrees I need to go to OHSU.  She is calling the bariatric center tonight and if she can't reach them tonight, then first thing in the morning, and telling them I'm coming over. So, I'll be ready to go tomorrow. Wish me luck in getting a dr. assigned to me that will be able to evaluate my situation and possibly perform this revision.

Oh Kim - I'm relieved that you're going.  There should be someone there tonight that your doc can get on call to let them know you'll be there tomorrow.  They are really into research and up on all the latest there, so I'm praying they will help you.  You're in my prayers.  God speed. Linda

I am so very glad that you are going to get to go to OSHU!!   They are the best, they saved my DH life and I will be forever greatful to them.  At least it is a REAL start and they will know what they are talking about, I wish you could go over there right now and get started with what ever.  I will keep you in my prayers. Blessings Chrisy PS.   On second thought Kim, I would get my butt in the car and have my DH drive me NOW to OSHU and get the show on the road, (as they say)  be safe and let us all know asap, we will all continue to pray and will not stop.

Kim, my prayers are with you and the doctors/surgeons you see very soon.  You are right---the thing to do is get this taken care of now.  Save your energy to fight for your health and know that we are all with you in our thoughts and prayers.  Here is an angel to be with you.  Get well soon and have Henry let us know the scoop on how you are doing, if you have to go to surgery.  Keep that lap top handy!!  Julia

Kim, I hope you get an appointment with Dr. Wolfe and fast.  I know he's always traveling and doing research, and I myself need to see him soon too.  I'm hoping he'll be available to you.  They are busy, but you need to really be a pest about this appointment and they will get you in.  Good luck and keep us informed. Lol!  I was thinking one of your kids would be handling it!  I'm glad we don't have kids just so that John can still think he's a computer god (well, that's what they call him at work, too).

You know, I could probably have my daughter do updates.  She is pretty computer literate.  Though, she can't spell worth a hoot! LOL!!
