They put me in the hospital
Kim - I suggest you call OHSU 503-494-4373, or ask your PCP to call for you. I think you need a bariatric specialist to take a look at you. I think Donna's surgeon, Bruce Wolfe at OHSU, specializes in problems. See if you can get in to see him. He may be able to give you some really good advice or figure out what is causing this.

I'm going to call my PCP first thing in the morning, and plan to call or somehow get in touch with OHSU. The doc on-call tonight told me that sometimes a personal visit gets better results so they can actually "see" how severe the problem is. I'll figure out what I'm doing tomorrow. For now, I just need sleep.
I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems and what a horrendous experience. I totally agree with Linda about calling a specialist. Sounds like the way to go to cut through all the BS and get some answers. I'm a big believer in calling until there are answers, we pay for the service for heaven's sake!!!!

Hello Kim,
So very sorry to learn that you fell down stairs, in the hospital, and still KNOW NOTHING on how to help you! I will keep you and your family in my prayers! I know that you are trying so very hard on all your trials and that your doctor will find the right answer for you asap, and then we can all do some dancin with the dancin judge. Stay on it and call your doctor first thing now, in the morning, noon and night to get an answer fast, dont give up or in.
Blessings
Chrisy
Kim, I am so sorry to hear that you fell and have been in
hospital and worse yet, no answers. My thoughts and prayers
are with you. Hang in there and hopefully the Gastro guy
will be able to give you some help, if not you need to get a referral
to a Bariatric surgeon in your area that can help. Julia
Kim,
I am so sorry that you had such a bad experience. The good news is that they probably corrected some of the imbalance in your electrolytes with the IV and that is sooooo important for organ function....like your heart. I think that sometimes healthcare providers are not very understanding about procedures that they either don't agree with or don't know much about and it shows in their care in one way or another....like not getting you the meals or snacks that you need. OHSU has a great bariatrics team that works very well together....give ' em a call if you have not gotten the help that you want and need...they are great.
I am sorry that you had a less than positive experience at Willamette Falls Hospital.
I agree with Linda that you should contact OHSU. OHSU is a Center of Excellence for WLS and you should have a better experience there. I think all 3 of their surgeons (Drs. Deveney, O'Rourke, and Wolfe) specialize in revisions too when necessary. Dr. Martindale, Amy Williams' surgeon who now practices surgery at OHSU, may be called if necessary.
Keep in touch.

Hi Kim, I injoyed meeting you and Henry at Lindas' house . We had such a nice visit. I could see all the concern in your faces and I must say I was also very concered about you. I sure wouldn't wait around a minute for anyone , just keep going till you find the right care. That Doc, that did the surgery needs to have some talking to also, your care from him does not stop the minute he lays his knife down. My prayers are with you, good luck and keep us posted,if theres any thing I can do to help just call. Jo Ann
