It is really gonna happen.  Just got off the phone with Legacy Good Sam, and I am scheduled for my consultation appointment with Dr. Patterson for October 4.............I am psyched...................asked how long the appointment would last............they told me to allow three hours!  OMG!  Soon, I will be on the losers bench!   Also have a few butterflies in my tummy..........am I making the right decision?  Hell yes!  Can't do it by myself..........have already proven that to myself.

Wow-how exciting! Once I got my consultation date, I couldn't think about anything else, right up until surgery! It sounds like you are going to be a great patient-best of luck and keep us posted!

Do you mind me asking how long between all the evaluations and the consultation?  I had all my appointments last week and I don't have any followups - they said I should be getting a call within the next 3 weeks for a consultation appointment. Just curious.

Debi, I had my evaluations, then I had to have some follow up visits, which were Sept 6. They called me to set the consultation appointment, Sept 16. So, not too bad.  At my follow up visit, I asked the dietician how long I should wait, she gave me a conservative estimate of three weeks.  Someone on the lap band message board suggested that I not wait that long, but to call them.  I called them on Friday, twice, both times they were out of the office.  Fitst time, they were at lunch, second time, the were gone for the day.  (They must leave early on Friday's)  Left a message for them to call me on Monday.  Be patient Debi....they will call....I know, I know the waiting is the hard part!   Best of luck!

That is so awesome for you. It is so exciting, but the waiting is making me crazy. I have found that reading the board more and writing down things that people say is helping time go by.  I had my consultation with Dr. Jan on August 27th. It did take about three hours, but I watched a computer generated infomercial and met with Dr. Jan's fellow as well.  A bit of a mix up with paperwork so am trying to straighten that out between BCBS and Legacy. I would encourage you to call and stay on top of things. I am hoping to have a date soon as soon as all the paperwork gets straightened out. We'll be losers together!!!!  Martha
