Another weird problem
I'm off to the Rogue Valley Medical Center emergency room tomorrow because I have an incisional hernia. The doctors around here don't know what to do with me. Called OHSU today and was told to go directly to the emergency room now. Well, that's not happening, since I'm 80 miles away from there. Tomorrow is better. Dr. Wolfe is out until 9-24, and I'm supposed to be on a plane to New Jersey for a court appearance on Sunday 9-16. This thing really hurts. All this time I thought I was just slow to heal, but when it started to stick out and burn, I knew this was not a normal symptom to have after a major open surgery. So, more fun. I've had too many abdominal surgeries and my stomach wall is probably too thin now. I'll let you know what happens.

Well, I more than likely have a tear in my abdominal wall from the surgery (I've had 3 abdominal surgeries, so the wall is weakened). I spoke to Dr. Wolfe after the ER doctor talked with him. We have to deal with this, but Dr. Wolfe feels I am okay to fly. So, I get to go to New Jersey whether I want to or not. Will have a CT scan when I get back next week and then off to Portland to see Dr. Wolfe right after that. So I wear my tight stomach binder. I managed to upgrade my plane ticket to first class, and a friend of mine is flying with me. That will help, so I won't have to lift my suitcase.
Apparently I'm an important witness for this court case, so I guess I'll hope for the best. As long as Dr. Wolfe says I'm okay to go, that's all I need for reassurance. I'll let you know what happens.
