Well tomorrow is my 1 yr anniversary, I am down 258 lbs all together (Since February 23, 2005).  Julie wants me to go to the Bariatric Orientation tomorrow and share my story with the pre-op people.  At Kaiser Permanente.  I am so excited!  Wish me luck. Peggy

Deanna: I feel a gazillion percent better since I started this incredible journey, there have been some bumps along the road, but I have learned so much along the way.  At first, I thought to myself, "what have I got myself into?" but as the months went by, things got better and better.  I have a cousin who had the surgery 8 yrs ago, and my hubby has been my biggest support. Congratulations!!! I have my first appointment with Dr. Ludeman on Monday at Kaiser. It doesn't seem like I hear a lot of success stories from Kaiser so I am so glad to hear that. I also go to the sunnyside support group at kaiser. Do you go to any of the support groups? Brenda

Linda,  I lost about about 150 lbs pre-op and the rest after surgery, thru diet, excercise and mainly portion control.  It was'nt easy, now if I could only get rid of the saggy skin, I would be real happy, but I know there is no miracle cure for that. Peggy

Peggy, All I can say is, WOW!!!!  Congratulations, Peggy!!!   That's awesome!  You truly are an inspiration to so many of us!   I'm starting the process with Kaiser right now.  Just sent in the 18 page packet on Monday, and I'm currently taking the 12 wk "Freedom from Diets" course thru Kaiser.   Yahooo!!!   Keep it up!  Your family must be so thrilled!   Gretchen
